Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. Growing up she was influenced by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of dramatic performance. After singing with her mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance of renown Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing has her involved with many local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to share with others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
